What do kids make in Luciole's art workshops?
Our arts and crafts workshops are about getting hands busy with real materials. Depending on the day and the theme, children work with:
- Painting: brushes, sponges, fingers, big paper and small canvases.
- Clay modelling: shaping, rolling and pinching clay by hand into animals, bowls and little figures. This is hand modelling, not wheel pottery.
- Collage: cutting, tearing, gluing and layering paper, fabric and textures.
- Jewelry and accessories making: threading beads into bracelets and necklaces, and decorating hair clips, keychains and bag charms. Great for fine motor skills, colours and patterns, and a gift to take home.
- Recycled materials: boxes, bottle caps and cardboard turned into robots, houses and puppets.
- Drawing walls: large walls where kids can draw freely, standing up and moving their whole arm.
- Building and making: blocks, wooden models and small construction challenges.
Every child leaves with what they made. For a wider look at what these sessions feel like, read our guide to kids workshops in Jounieh.
Who leads the art classes, and how big are the groups?
Each workshop is led by trained animators and kept to a small group, so every child gets attention, help with tricky steps and room to try their own ideas. The goal is not a perfect copy of a model: it is a child who explored, chose colours and finished something they are proud of.
What skills does art build at each age?
| Age | What they enjoy | What it builds |
|---|---|---|
| 3 to 4 | Finger painting, squishing clay, big drawing walls, gluing | Hand strength, grip, colour and texture discovery |
| 5 to 6 | Cutting and collage, simple clay animals, painting with brushes | Scissor control, following steps, patience |
| 7 to 8 | Recycled-material builds, detailed drawing, small models | Planning, problem solving, confidence in their own ideas |
| 9 to 10 | Longer projects, construction challenges, decorative crafts, beaded jewelry | Focus, design thinking, finishing a project start to end |
| 11 to 12 | Multi-session projects, jewelry and accessory design, mixed-media canvases | Independence, personal style, planning over several sessions |
Are there seasonal craft workshops?
Yes. Through the year we run seasonal workshops tied to the calendar: Halloween masks, Christmas ornaments, Easter crafts and Mother's Day gifts. They make lovely keepsakes and often end up as family gifts. Follow @luciole.lebanon on Instagram to see what is coming up next.
Do you run seasonal art camps?
Yes. During the school holidays, Luciole runs seasonal camps: themed multi-day programmes that mix painting, clay, collage, and jewelry and accessories making, with a small exhibition or a take-home collection at the end. Camps run over the winter, Easter and summer breaks, for children aged 3 and up. See dates and themes on our holiday camps page, or book on WhatsApp at +961 81 540 282.
Can art be the theme of a birthday party?
It can. Every Luciole party includes a themed workshop for each child, and arts and crafts is a favourite: kids paint, model or build together, then take their creation home as a party favour. See the options on our kids birthday parties page.
How do I book, and where do parents wait?
Send us a message on WhatsApp with your child's age and the day you have in mind, and we will tell you which workshop fits and confirm the details. While your child creates, you can sit in our separate café and bistro with coffee, Wi-Fi and a view over Jounieh Souks.
Curious about other options? We answer common questions about arts and crafts workshops in Keserwan, and kids who love experiments can also join our science workshops.
